3-Pack of Black Walnut slabs sourced from the Ozark Mountains. Surface is planed and then wide-belt sanded at 80 grit. Out of the box, it's ready for your woodworking projects with minimal surface prep. Hardwood is live edge, character wood (aka common grade), allowing for varied knots and defects, with some boards having bark. Sapwood and heartwood ratio and overall board appearance will vary. Kiln dried to a moisture rating below 10%.

Just OK

The 24" wood pieces were of the size advertised. But there are far too many worm holes to use for my intended purpose. I guess I'll need to find another use for them.

I thought it was moderate value for money. Two pieces of the walnut were as I expected and nice. However, one piece was not very wide at all. Once you removed the bark it was about 5 inches across from sapwood to sapwood, with the heartwood center around 4 inches wide. I did not think that one particular piece conveyed fair value for money. So, I guess my analysis it was a medium experience, I'm not sure whether I would order again ….have to think about it.

Beautiful black walnut!

I just received these slabs in the mail today, they are really beautiful. I got the 36 inch long slabs, the finishes already very nice. With minimal amount of work, these will become showpiece food presentation boards. Great product!
